How To: Turn Print Ads Into Conversions

We know that print can be effective, and by using certain design and copy tactics, you can maximize the success of your print campaign. Here are a few tips to get you started:

  1. Don’t use your print ad to only describe the benefits of your services. Instead, show how your products/services can help solve a problem faced by your prospects. This will help position you as a resource for them. You also want to include an enticing call to action in an active voice. For instance, if you want viewers to visit your website, a good CTA would be: Visit [insert your website name] to claim your special offer.
  2. Dedicated landing pages are key. If you have a landing page that is used only for leads coming from your print ad, you’ll be able to easily track the success of your print campaign. Include a form on your landing page to capture the generated leads and allow your sales team to design a specific follow-up strategy. Also, driving digital leads using a print ad as a vehicle helps round out your strategy. 
  3. Make sure that you have a strong headline! On a print ad, this is your only chance to capture attention and entice prospects to read on. A strong headline will instantly let the viewer know how your products or services benefit them. For instance, if your ad is focused on promoting your employee thank-you gifts, a good headline might be: “A Thank-You They Can Keep Forever.”

Do you have social media accounts? Let your readers know so that they can connect with you on social. Keep the conversation going in an environment where brand awareness and recall are built.
