Plan Your Marketing Campaign Like You'd Plan a Picnic

​Let's face it: Building a successful marketing campaign isn't always a walk in the park, but follow these three simple steps and you'll be feasting on business success in no time.

Be prepared – You can’t just throw a picnic together on a whim – you have to shop for food and drink and invite all your friends to join. Building a marketing strategy isn’t much different. Lay the proper groundwork by knowing who you want to target, defining a budget and setting your goals. Doing prep work will set you up for success, allowing you to sit back and relax as your campaign takes flight.
Find the ideal spot – There are a number of factors you must consider when setting up your picnic blanket: Is there proper shade? How's the ground level? Will insects ruin your party? A proper venue is essential for advertising, too. Some businesses are more suited for print advertising. Others may be looking for a digital experience. Maybe you want to utilize both! As long as your message is consistent from platform to platform, any of these strategies will prove beneficial.
Time to dig in – After everything is prepared, it's time to reap the rewards of your hard work. Track your reports to see what led to the most success. Feel free to take a bite out of your delicious offerings (so to speak), but try not to become complacent. Be realistic about what can be improved. Evaluate your plans so your next venture can run even smoother – don't be afraid to mix up the menu!
Stick to these principles and customers will be ready to devour your offerings.
