Video is #1.  Here’s Why You Should Invest in Video in 2020

Video marketing has become a powerful tool for all businesses in recent year. In fact, in 2019 it was reported that 87% of companies are using video as a marketing tool to promote their brand or products, up 6% from just the last quarter of 2018.

What does that mean? If you’re not yet producing videos, now is the time to start.

In our industry and in ESP, the intersection of content and commerce is important.  Before a distributor talks to someone at your company or places an order, they’re searching for products in ESP. Effective online content, such as videos of your products or brand, can help establish an emotional connection and illustrate your product’s benefits and features.
 
As you look towards your 2020 strategy, consider these 4 types of videos that every supplier should be creating and using in their marketing campaigns – to reach distributors on as many platforms as possible – and in every stage of the buying cycle:
 
  1. Product Demo Videos: Highlight your product’s features and benefits. Include the technical aspects of your product and show how to use it.   2. Company/About Us Videos: The best way to introduce your company is to use video. Show distributors your core values, your mission and your goals.   4. Testimonial Videos: Show your happy customers to create a sense of confidence and self-assuredness in your prospects so they know they can trust in your brand and products. After all, how many times do you read reviews before you purchase?  Profiling your customers and their success stories make viewers want to have those success stories too.
